World Electronics Forum

In October 2017, Angers has been the world capital of electronics. The city hosted the World Electronics Forum (WEF).
In October 2017, Angers hosted the 22nd annual meeting of the WEF, the World Electronics Forum. The 21st meeting took place in Singapore from 30 November to 2 December 2016. The World Electronics Forum brought together between 120 high-level decision makers in the electronics industry to discuss economic growth, talk about the future and do business together.
The WEF brings together electronics organizations from many different countries such as the USA, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, China, Japan, and Australia. To mark the occasion of this world forum, a special week dedicated to IoT has been organized in the Angers metropolitan area.
This exceptional event gathering Angers-based electronics companies, and investors and CEOs from the world’s largest companies has hopefully been a catalyst to create business links and interesting opportunities.
The WEF helped Angers gain (or regain) a long-lasting reputation in the European electronics industry and IoT sector. This approach has been supported by Gary Shapiro ( CEO of Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show).
